As you all know last weekend more than 400 rowing teams started for the 8 km Head of the river at the Amstel in Amsterdam. "Our" Gyas team stayed another saturday/sunday at our place and rowed a tough race sunday afternoon.
Compliments, because I (Johan) know what that means. Fortunately the weather was beautiful.
Lia is still suffering her frozen shoulder and sees a physiotherapist 3 times a week now. We both hope it will improve soon.

From a sunny Abbenes we send you our love .. Lia and Johan

A couple of weeks ago Jan Willem Snippe asked us if his ladies 8 rowing team could stay over a weekend, during the Heineken races in Amsterdam. Of course we said "yes" not knowing a team including coaches totals up to 13 people!!! So you can imagine we had so to speak a full house. hahaha. Johan had a very creative idea and suggested the ladies to form the playboy bunny logo inspired by the playboy cover of march 07. You see the results and we had great fun orchestrating a human rabbit head... Thanks to this chearful action the ladies did a very good rowing job and moved upwards in the classification. Next week they return for an other race and Johan is torturing his head for new creative ideas. To be continued..
Last weekend we spent with our grandchildren and some days later Johan's children visited us as well.
It was a busy week because we also went to Lionel Richy's concert in the Ahoy concert hall in Rotterdam. Our type of music and although Lia can not lift her left arm we both were swinging in the enthousiastic crowd.
So we had great fun and we hope you too.
Love from Lia and Johan

If Pasa was a tennis player he should call out: "new balls please". However the vetenarian did an irreversible job and Pasa is now a "you know what cat". Kedi showed solidarity and left her goodies also with the vet, so no more pills for her. As we are writing this they both recovered remakebly fast and they play with each other like nothing happened. Good for them. Last weekend Cindy and Wilbert came by with Damian Whitney and Aiden. It was fun to have them around.
As you also can see on the images Johan had lots of fun with his "old" Vendex KBB collegues. We spent an evening dining and wining. Especially Peter van Bakkum was very pleased to see Johan back in Dutch business.
To be continued......
Lia's shoulder is not making progress so she will see a doctor soon.
Keep you posted, love from Johan and Lia
