Saterday we visited with Arjan Meijer and his partner Rachelle Mourits the famous exhibition ISTANBUL in Amsterdam. Arjan is Lia's collegue at RPM and used to be Johan's as well during their Vendex KBB Adventures. 6 Months this exhibition will show the city of Istanbul in all of its beauty. It was very crowded and everyone in The Netherlands should go and visit it. The setting is done very tastfull in "De Nieuwe Kerk", The church in which Willem Alexander and Maxima married 5 years ago. Very special to find yourself in a mosk within a church. Last week we also went to Vera Vogel who had her birthday party in a nice pub in Haarlem. And - of course - February is the birthday month of Suzanne as well. The 18th of February was years (!) ago - at her day of birth - a very cold winterday and now nowadays it is almost spring temperatures. Congratulations you fish....Johan enjoys his assigment with KPN very much. Unfortunately Lia got an inflammation in her shoulder. Very painful and even two injections with cortison did not help. So she will see a specialist next month.

Finally snow in the Netherlands

Last week we had the first snow in Holland since a long time. The weather station gave out a snow alarm but that turned out to be to pessimistic because we ended up only with a couple of centimeters white stuff. The good part was: no traffic jams.. everybody stayed at home. Not Lia and Johan. We both enjoy our new jobs and assignments. Johan is (a.o) working for KPN. The other day Tol visited the Tall broadcasting tower in the center of the Netherlands: Lopik . This tower is the tallest in our country. As you can see on the images we like to see our friends again. In Utrecht we celebrated Rob's (surprise) birthday in the museum of Aboriginal arts. Very impressive art. Last week we went to the beach with Merle and we also drove to Julianadorp to join Marjorie's party. So lots of activities and Lia is happy that RPM takes (only) three days a week.....and...... finally we also booked our trip to visit our dear Istanbul friends. Early April.. here we come againTurkey! We are looking forward to meet everybody again. We hope you feel the same way.
