Dear Istolbul readers,
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We enjoyed it very much. We had the traditional breakfast with the van Heyningen family and we visited Raymond and Esther. Yesterday all children - except Jeroen, who is skiing with his girlfriend, - came to Abbenes. So to speak a 'normal' Christmas this year. This week we stay home and we hope to finish all the little tasks that we postponed during the year...
Love from Lia and Johan and we wish you a very happy 2007!

These dark days before Christmas are very busy. Last week we had dinner with our Costa Rica travellers and enjoyed 'old times'. Last weekend we joined the annual Christmas Maxeda Real Estate Department dinner. Although most people left the company we still like each others company so we decided to organize a dinner for the ex-Vendex KBB Real Estate friends as well. Big succes and next year we expect all of them to join! Yesterday RPM's Christmas dinner in Delft overwhelmed us from a culinary point of view. Retail is detail and we all went home with a toy hart in a toy shopping trolley. Great fun.
Yesterday we also put up our (Istanbul) Christmas tree and it feels good again.
Hope everybody is ok , Love from Lia and Johan.

Last sunday Lia and Johan playd their yearly roles again for many children. We had great fun but this year something unusual happened. We had a great time to have the act in front of our grandchildren Marijn and Jade. After we left Marijn said to his little sister: There was no need to be afraid dear little Jade... St Nic and black Peter are Granddaddy and grandma with a beard and black paint.....(!!!???!!!). The guy is 5 years old and supposed to believe another 2 years. Although everybody is denying. he is completely sure about his observation. So next year we have to think about another trick. Other than that we made many children happy and it was fun to do. Afterwards we feld Sint's real age: 236 years old.
Love from Lia and Johan

November has been way to warm for the time of the year. Although December is starting to hot too, the wind makes it very chilly. Coming sunday Dec 3rd Peter-Lia and Sint-Johan will visit many little dear children. We wonder what will happen now "he the weather so ugly finds" hahahaha. (Sorry my dear Turkish friends: this Dutch joke is on me).
Anyway we still have Turkish blood and we long for nice warm weather!! These days total Holland is singing Sint Nicolaas songs and it is fun to witness our old Dutch traditions.
After sunday we hope to show you some typical Dutch Sint Nicolas scenes.
All the best from Lia and Johan.
